Fort Eben-Emael Aftermath

The Aftermath of the Battle of Fort Eben-Emael

The Battle of the Belgian Fort Eben-Emael on 10 May, 1940 allowed German forces entry into Belgium at the onset of World War II. Seventy-eight NAZI Luftwaffe Paratroopers successfully stormed Fort Eben-Emael from the air using gliders, the first such air assault in history. This is the only original photography of the German Gliders resting on top of the fort. These photographs are not the reenactment that is readily available from other stock agencies. These are the real thing. There are few remaining photos of this event, and those available from archival.photography LLC. are highly unique. archival.photography INC. has never before published images of Fort Eben-Emael for sale.
